How Delight Investment Group collects, uses, and protects your information
Delight Investment Group ("we", "us", "our") operates delightig.app, an employee self-service platform used by employees of our group companies across multiple jurisdictions, including the United Arab Emirates, India, and the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use the platform.
1. Information We Collect
Employee Personal Information
- Name, employee ID, designation, department, and reporting manager
- Work email address, personal email (if provided), and mobile number
- Government-issued identification relevant to your country of employment (e.g., Emirates ID, passport, visa, labour card in the UAE; PAN, Aadhaar (where voluntarily provided) in India; National Insurance Number, Right-to-Work documents in the UK)
- Date of birth, gender, nationality, and marital status
- Home and mailing address, emergency contact details
- Account credentials (username, hashed password)
Employment & HR Data
- Attendance, leave, timesheet, shift, and overtime records
- Payroll-related references (salary slips, reimbursements, loan/advance requests) — processed by your employer, not by us
- Performance reviews, goals, training, and appraisal records
- Uploaded documents such as certificates, medical insurance, and bank/IBAN details used by the employer for payroll
Device & Session Data
- Device type, operating system, browser, IP address, and session logs (collected as part of normal application security and access control)
User-Generated Content
Requests, approvals, comments, attachments, and other records you submit through the platform as part of your employment-related activities.
2. Device Permissions
With your consent, the application may request access to:
- Push notifications — for HR alerts, approvals, and attendance reminders
- Camera — for profile photos and document capture (e.g., Emirates ID, certificates)
- Location services — for attendance check-in/check-out and site-based shift verification
- File storage — for uploading and attaching HR documents
- Biometric (Face ID / fingerprint) — where enabled, for secure app login
You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Enabling employee self-service features (leave, attendance, requests, approvals, documents)
- Sharing employment-related data with your employer who uses the platform as its HR system
- Communicating HR notifications, approvals, and service updates
- Identity verification and compliance with applicable labour and data protection regulations in the UAE, India, the UK, and other countries where our group operates
- Security monitoring, fraud prevention, and improving user experience
4. Notifications
Service notifications (approvals, attendance reminders, HR alerts) are essential to the functioning of the platform and cannot be disabled while your account is active. You may control optional push notifications through your device settings.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Your employer — the group company that employs you is the data controller of your employment records and uses the platform to manage HR operations
- Frappe Cloud — our sole hosting and infrastructure service provider, which hosts the application and its database under contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations
- Legal and regulatory authorities — where required by law, court order, or government request (e.g., MOHRE and GPSSA in the UAE; EPFO and income tax authorities in India; HMRC in the UK)
- Business transitions — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy
- Professional advisors — auditors, lawyers, and consultants under confidentiality
6. Your Rights
Depending on your country of employment (e.g., UAE PDPL, India DPDP Act 2023, UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018), you may:
- Access, review, or update your personal data via your profile settings or through your HR department
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing
Because your employer is the primary data controller for employment-related records, certain requests (such as deletion of employment records) must be directed to your employer. For other queries, contact privacy@delightig.app.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as you remain an active user of the platform. After separation from your employer:
- Active login access is deactivated
- Employment records are retained by your employer for the period required by the applicable labour and tax laws of your country of employment (for example, UAE, India, and UK statutory retention periods, which commonly range from 2 to 7 years depending on the record type)
- Aggregated, non-identifiable data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use strong passwords and protect your account credentials.
9. Third-Party Services
The platform is hosted on Frappe Cloud, which operates under its own privacy policy and data protection commitments. Where the application is distributed through Google Play, that store's privacy policy applies to the download and installation experience. Please review these policies separately:
10. Eligibility
The platform is intended solely for employees of our group companies who are 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals outside this scope.
11. International Data Transfers
Because our group operates in the UAE, India, the UK, and other countries, your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, and accessed from jurisdictions other than your country of employment. Where such transfers occur, we put in place appropriate safeguards (such as intra-group data transfer agreements and standard contractual clauses) to ensure your data remains protected consistent with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), the India Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification.
